About 250 jobs are at risk in Limerick, Kildare and Meath after a computer packaging group asked the High Court for protection from its creditors last week.

An interim examiner, Pearse Farrell of Dublin firm Farrell Grant Sparks, was appointed to Ire-Tex Packaging and ILP Protective Packaging, both part of the Ire-Tex Group, on Friday.
