€200k Gathering fund puts spring in Riverdance step

The organisation behind the Gathering has invested €200,000 in a series of Riverdance events in Dublin in two weeks' time.

The organisation behind the Gathering has invested €200,000 in a series of Riverdance events in Dublin in two weeks' time.

However, the production company behind Riverdance will not contribute any funding to the large marketing opportunity, Dublin Port is providing €50,000, while Dublin City Council will contribute €25,000 to the seven-day event.

The €200,000 Gathering spend will be used for event management costs, including logistics, staging, security and stewarding. Dublin Port is paying for activities...
