€1.63m pledged to encourage peace in the North

International Fund for Ireland aims to combat the causes of sectarianism.

The International Fund for Ireland has pledged €1.63 million to support peace building, integration and reconciliation projects in the North and the border counties.

The programme is designed to build sustainable peace and reconciliation within and between communities suffering from economic and social deprivation; where there have been low levels of engagement in peace building; and where there remains a risk of instability and violence.
