13 US military aircraft were refused permission to use Irish airspace
The government refused permission for US military air- craft transporting munitions to fly through Irish airspace on
13 occasions last year because of the nature of their cargo.
However, almost two mili- tary flights a day either landed at Shannon or flew through Irish-controlled airspace.
