€10m windfall due for Irish rugby

The IRFU will earn about €10 million from today’s Six Nations match between Ireland and France and the upcoming fixture against England at Croke Park.

The IRFU will earn about €10 million from today’s Six Nations match between Ireland and France and the upcoming fixture against England at Croke Park.

The figure is more than double what the rugby body would have made if the two matches had been played at Lansdowne Road. The €10 million figure is what the IRFU expects to take home after covering match-day costs and paying rent to the GAA for the stadium....
