The owners of Mount Carmel Hospital in south Dublin plan to build a €100 million, state-of-the-art hospital on the site.

The Mount Carmel Medical healthcare consortium, which is headed by Jerry Conlan, plans to build a 152-bed hospital with 100 single en suite bedrooms, 40 day beds, 12 high dependency unit beds and 30 consulting suites - 27 more than there are at the existing hospital.
