10,000 respond to Revenue's single-premium probe

About 10,000 people have told the Revenue Commissioners that they will come clean as part of the current probe into ‘hot money' invested in life-assurance products from 1980 onwards.

About 10,000 people have told the Revenue Commissioners that they will come clean as part of the current probe into ‘hot money' invested in life-assurance products from 1980 onwards.

The investigation was launched more than two months ago. At the time, Revenue set a deadline of May 23 for people to disclose any tax liabilities on life assurance products.

Anyone who made a declaration has until July 22 to pay the settlement. Those who have come forward...
