“A whole shelf of female-focused supplements in a single sachet.” Such is the promise from SISTERLY, the Irish health disruptor that is dedicated to optimising female health.

Launched in September 2023 with its first product – The Elevator – the brand’s ethos is to develop a top of the range supplement brand, inspired by the latest scientific nutritional research, to support women at different phases of life.

Created by three enterprising founders – Jennifer O’Connell, Aoife Matthews and Louise O’Riordan – all with demanding careers in law, finance and luxury lifestyle, and based between Dublin, Madrid and Los Angeles, the trio were encouraged to launch the brand following their experience of struggling to find a high-quality, female-centric supplement.

The Elevator monthly supply, €94.40 and available on subscription

As such, they enlisted a team of experts, including renowned nutritional biochemist Dr Daniel Jones, who were brought in to perfect The Elevator as the ultimate foundational multi-nutrient expertly designed to replenish what women need as they age.

And The Elevator has earned them a loyal fanbase: sales through the website have exceeded projections and continue to grow month to month exceeding all expectations, while their retention of subscription purchases stands at 78 per cent. Sales at their retail partners Brown Thomas and Meaghers Pharmacies have also been strong, according to the brand.

A recent survey of 50 women after three months on The Elevator revealed that 96 per cent said they felt generally healthier and their wellbeing had improved.

Meanwhile, 91 per cent said they had more energy, 80 per cent reported improved sleep, 75 per cent noticed an improvement in their mood and 79 per cent felt they had better immunity.

Elsewhere, SISTERLY has won a number of prestigious UK industry awards including the Best Immunity Supplement in the Hip and Healthy Wellness Awards 2024.

And the latest innovation from the brand is their first SISTERLY Summit. Taking place on Tuesday June 11 – in association with mortgage switching service doddl – in No 1 Windmill Lane, Dublin 2, the all-female summit will offer a community space spotlighting female health.

The two-hour event will kick off at 8am with a morning breathwork exercise led by wellness expert Miriam Hussey, followed by an informal discussion on how to elevate your everyday wellness with Hussey, Irish athlete and former Olympian Sonia O’Sullivan, and Irish sailor and Olympian Annalise Murphy.

“I have been taking the Elevator for four months now,” Murphy says. “I would have been someone who would have been quite sceptical about supplements in the past but since I have started taking The Elevator I have noticed I haven't picked up the winter bugs that have been going around. I have had good energy even when training hard and probably something I've notice the most is my skin is great.”

Afterwards, a 30-minute run with O’Sullivan and Murphy or yoga with Hussey will get the heart rate going, culminating in a chance to relax and tuck into healthy fare at The Elevator breakfast bar from Dublin’s favourite cafe, Tang, paired with the award-winning supplement.

The event offers a rare opportunity to meet some of Ireland’s most esteemed female athletes and learn their top wellness tips, alongside the chance to join an Irish female-founded brand that is on track to revolutionise female health.
