Varadkar to push for tax cuts, state pension increase
The Tánaiste will also oppose proposed PRSI hikes for the self-employed in wake of higher inflation
Leo Varadkar wants an increase in the state pension and other social protection payments in next month’s budget.
It is understood the Tánasite will call for both measures at tomorrow’s Fine Gael think-in.
A party source said this was to take account of the “return of inflation and the impact it is having on the cost of living for people on fixed incomes”.
