The Irish public will need to sacrifice a social Christmas in order to prevent Covid-19 cases rising again in the spring, a leading member of the National Public Health Emergency Team’s (Nphet) modelling advisory group has warned.
“If we go back to the levels of social contact we had in August and September, we are storing up a difficulty for ourselves in January and February,” Professor Philip Nolan told the Business Post....
