Former Green Party TD Paul Gogarty is selling himself as a ‘green minded’ independent, pounding the pavements in non-leather shoes, while Fine Gael‘s Emer Higgins may be her party’s best hope of winning a by-election seat.

A middle-aged man is standing in the front porch of his semi-d in Dublin Mid-West complaining to Paul Gogarty. He takes issue with the bus service in Dublin Mid-West and property taxes before moving on to the subject of immigration.

He is not racist but... he is worried about the number of people coming to Ireland and claiming asylum.
