What you hear, as opposed to what you’re told
There is a disconnect in the planning process that means designing in response to what people are saying they want and need will frequently get you a firm ‘No’
Don’t make the mistake of taking what you hear as being the same as what you’re told.
What the public hear is that we want more buildings in our city centre, that we need them to be taller; that we need to get greater density within these buildings, in particular when they are close to transport links.
