The presidential debates require basic fairness

The lessons of the Frontline presidential debate debacle must be learned this time around. Running for the highest office in Ireland is a serious matter. Each candidate deserves to be treated equally and with fairness. This may reduce the entertainment value of debates but that is a price worth paying in order to ensure that no candidate is targeted while others are ignored or asked only soft-ball questions.
