RTE begins broadcasting adverts in HD

Three’s Christmas commercial, the first HD advert aired on RTE

RTE has become the first major terrestrial broadcaster in Britain or Ireland to accept high-definition (HD) commercial content.

Digital commercial distribution company IMD has been working with RTE since January to change its infrastructure so it can broadcast HD advertisements.
