The best possible price was got for the Eagle portfolio, and to wait any longer would have created hazards not only for a future sale, but for everyone doing business
I t is clear that Nama got the best achievable price from the sale of Project Eagle. It is clear that media reports last weekend were wrong to say that the Comptroller & Auditor General (C&AG) report made findings of what they termed “irregularities”.
But now that the C&AG report has been published, no one has answered the key questions that the C&AG left unanswered.
