Nearly a decade after they were banned as part of the bailout of the financial system, bonuses for bankers are back on the agenda. In the coming days, the Bank of Ireland and AIB will ask shareholders to ease the way for their reintroduction. Among those shareholders will be the government. So what will the state do?
