As a toddler, my daughter was clear about her colour preferences. She liked most colours. Except - cue crashing cymbals of victory from her mother - pink. On this, she drew the line.

Flash forward ten years and she’s telling me about what’s cool at her school. Pink, is the unexpected craze. Everyone has pink bags. Pink lunchboxes. Pink pencil cases.
