What Harvey Weinstein did is nothing new, but perhaps the extent of the abuse he carried out and the subsequent reportage will unmask similar characters, and prompt society to respond to such cases with deserved gravity

It’s a story as old as time itself: a powerful man abuses a woman in a weak and vulnerable position and thinks he can get away with it. Because, of course, he can get away with it, because he always has. But perhaps now we’re entering into a new era. Perhaps those men really can’t do those things anymore.

That’s a highly optimistic take on the Harvey Weinstein saga...
