Her voyage is, of course, a publicity stunt. As anyone who has ever been involved in a campaign knows, clever stunts are best but timing is often the key to success. The slow news days of mid-August are usually a good time. So when 16-year-old climate action campaigner Greta Thunberg announced her intention to sail to next month’s UN Climate Action Summit in New York, media interest was guaranteed.
