Your columnist Pat Rabbitte seems to style himself on the character from Animal Farm who filters the facts and ruminates on national enlightenment.

As an ordinary taxpayer, I am not motivated by the spectre of revolution. My concern is based on my family’s limited disposable income. My anger is based on the return to the sleeveen and gombeen politics of the past, with no accountability or application of best practice.
