Is AIB a good buy?

On the surface, the pillar bank’s reflotation looks set to reap the benefits of recovery – but read the fine print before you stake your pension on it

Forgive me for asking, but I wonder how many investors – individual and institutional – have read the prospectus on AIB’s offer of up to 678 million shares before signalling their interest in a slice of the offer at a price in the €3.90-€4.90 range.

As the prospectus on the stock issue was dated June 12, 2017 and was not available from the bank’s Ballsbridge headquarters until last Thursday afternoon, I suspect...
