Last week, Greencore delivered a strong first-quarter trading statement – broadly in line with market expectations. The share price duly jumped 6.5 per cent on the day following an analysts’ conference call with chief executive Patrick Coveney, in which he highlighted the significant market share gains for the company in its core British market in both food-to-go and cooking sauces.
