Can Heather Humphreys' Action Plan save rural Ireland?

At least one of the 270 actions in Humphreys' rural action plan is almost certain to fail

Rural Affairs Minister Heather Humphreys said has said the government's new rural development action plan is the ‘first of its kind’.

Since the foundation of the state, there have been plans to revive the health of rural Ireland.

In the last two decades, there was the White Paper on Rural Development in 1999 and rural development was a big part of the National Spatial Strategy in 2003.
