Restaurants and pubs complain of ongoing staff shortages as PUP gets phased out

Restaurants and pubs have complained of continued staff shortages at a time when 37,000 former workers in the sector are still on the Pandemic Unemployment Payment.

It comes as the Revenue Commissioners have confirmed that pubs and restaurants can no longer avail of weekly payments under the Covid Restrictions Support Scheme (CRSS) due to the lifting of restrictions on indoor dining.
