Beer made with cannabis will arrive in Ireland next year

Non-alcoholic beer by Canadian firm Province will not get drinkers high as it does not contain psychoactive THC

CBD has become big business in recent years and is marketed as a health and wellness supplement.

Beer made with cannabis which doesn‘t get drinkers high or drunk will be available across Ireland next year after a Cork distributor struck a deal with a Canadian manufacturer.

Michael Barry of Barry & Fitzwilliam said the deal with Province Brands will be a further step into the “adult soft drink” market for the firm which typically deals with alcohol.
