Sperm: an alternative banking crisis is looming

Founder of world’s biggest sperm bank warns Irish women will opt for home insemination.

More Irish women will purchase sperm online and opt for home insemination if the Irish government bans anonymous sperm donation, the founder of the world’s biggest sperm bank has warned.

Ole Schou, founder of Cryos, which is based in Denmark, said banning anonymous sperm donation at Irish clinics would also lead to more Irish women travelling to clinics in Denmark to conceive.
