Medicines regulator faces legal suit over flu vaccine

The medicines regulator is to be sued for its alleged failure to act upon safety concerns that were conveyed to it about the Pandemrix flu vaccine.

Pandemrix, a flu vaccine which has been linked with narcolepsy, was purchased by the HSE and administered to the public in response to the declared swine flu pandemic in 2009. The HSE stopped administering it in March 2010.
