Hospital wait lists worsen by 60 per cent

In December 2016, there were 84,316 people waiting longer than 12 months on the outpatient waiting list. By November 2017, that figure had increased by 60 per cent to 134,637.

Waiting times for hospital appointments soared in 2017, with those awaiting outpatient appointments for longer than 12 months climbing steadily. In December 2016, there were 84,316 people waiting longer than 12 months on the outpatient waiting list. By November 2017, that figure had increased by 60 per cent to 134,637.
