The expert group tasked with guiding an overhaul of the Irish hospital system has not met in over a year.
The Strategic Advisory Group was established in 2014 to develop an overarching policy for hospital groups and hospital trusts – the main pillar of Fine Gael’s plan to restructure the hospital system.
But the Department of Health confirmed that the Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) last met in April 2015.
