Hospital costs here among highest in Europe

Switzerland, Norway and Luxembourg the only costlier countries

Hospital costs in Ireland are the fourth highest of 21 countries surveyed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The OECD conducted a comparison of price levels for public and private hospitals.

It concluded that the price of hospital care in Ireland was higher than it was in Sweden, Finland, Austria, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Britain.
