HEA open to funding mergers of students’ unions

Minister for Education Jan O’Sullivan has indicated that the higher education funding body is open to granting funding to help students’ unions amalgamate.

The Higher Education Authority (HEA) – the statutory planning and policy development body for higher education and research in Ireland – has never directly funded students’ unions.
