Halligan ‘unwise’ to promise new cath lab, says Cullinane

Sinn Féin TD says junior minister shouldn't have said Waterford lab was a done deal

Junior minister John Halligan was unwise to tell constituents that a second catheterisation laboratory at University Hospital Waterford was a done deal, a local TD has said.

Halligan threatened to resign from government recently after Minister for Health Simon Harris refused to give in to his demand for a second cath lab in the hospital to treat acute and chronic heart disease.
