World prescription drug market set to be worth $1.8 trillion by 2024

The forecast for the global prescription drug market is expected to be $1.18 trillion by 2024, a new report from Evaluate Pharma says.

Since 2010, the market has grown from $689 billion in 2010 to $828 billion in 2018 and is predicted to grow further year on year.

The report predicts that Pfizer will be the leading prescription drug company in 2024, with projected sales of $51.2 billion.
