VHI bows to doctors at Vincent’s Healthcare in row over pay
The health insurer has agreed to pay 23 consultants on foot of a legal letter from one specialist
VHI Healthcare has bowed to pressure from doctors at St Vincent’s Healthcare Group (SVHG) and started to pay public doctors who are working in the private hospital.
The VHI had refused to pay doctors for work done on the grounds that the HSE had insisted their public contracts did not allow them to work in St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
