Teva launches new body to drive use of cheaper drugs in hospitals

The Healthcare Enterprise Alliance claims a combined 15 per cent share of the Irish market

Teva, the biggest supplier of medicines into the Irish market, is launching a new industry body that will promote the use of cheaper medicines in hospitals.

The Healthcare Enterprise Alliance (HEA), which includes Mylan and Krka Pharmaceuticals, has extensive global operations.

It collectively employs 2,000 people in Ireland and claims a combined 15 per cent share of the Irish market in volume terms.
