State’s biggest drug supplier excluded from price talks

The existing agreement that the state has with the pharmaceutical sector is due to expire at the end of this month

The biggest supplier of medicines in the state will be excluded from talks on a new drug pricing agreement, Minister for Health Leo Varadkar has said.

The company, Teva, recently established the Healthcare Enterprise Alliance (HEA), which includes large generic manufacturers Mylan and Krka Pharmaceuticals.
