Medical group calls for dedicated negligence courts

One of the world’s largest indemnifiers of doctors has weighed into the debate about medical negligence, calling for the setting up of dedicated medical negligence courts with specialist judges in Ireland.

It is one of a number of recommendations made by the Medical Protection Society (MPS), in its submission to the government’s expert group tasked with examining alternatives to the existing court process for negligence claims.
