Ireland in talks with EU group to bulk buy expensive drugs

Ireland is examining the option of teaming up with a European bloc that has started to negotiate collectively to lower prices with drug firms.

Minister for Health Simon Harris believes the move could allow Ireland gain new leverage and economies of scale as it grapples with a deluge of pricey new drugs.
