INMO denies younger nurses’ pay rises were cut in deal

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has insisted that younger nurses are not having their salary rises cut back to help convince longer serving nurses to back the latest pay deal.

Under last year’s offer from the government, around 9,000 nurses recruited since 2011 on an inferior pay scale were to get pay rises worth €3,594 each at a cost of €35 million up to 2020.
