Research published by the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) has shown a big increase in the number of people from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) coming to Ireland to study.
According to an EU-wide study carried out by the European Migration Network, the number of non-EEA students coming to Ireland jumped by 45 per cent to 13,500 between 2013 and 2017.
