HSE-funded helpline redirected callers to wrong number for over a year

The HSE-funded national eating disorder helpline has been redirecting callers to the wrong number for over a year.

People attempting to reach Bodywhys were instead connected to a private residence in Swords.

The mistake has been happening since early last year, according to the man who has been receiving the calls.

But Bodywhys, which receives about €300,000 annually from the HSE, said it only became aware of the problem last month.
