HSE rapped for retraining kitchen staff to provide frontline care

The HSE has been told to reconsider its plan to retrain around a dozen drivers and kitchen staff as frontline healthcare assistants at a centre for people with intellectual disabilities.

The plan is in spite of the fact that it would be cheaper to pay the staff voluntary redundancy.
