Hospital groups to be dissolved in major health service reshuffle

Three of the country’s hospital groups will be broken up as the Department of Health finalises huge structural changes to the health service.

The new structure – which is being drawn up by the Sláintecare health reform office headed by Laura Magahy and senior officials in the department – will result in six regional integrated care organisations (Ricos) being established across the country.
