Homecare firms get €156m from HSE over four years

Eight large homecare providers have shared over €156 million in payments from the HSE over the last four years, according to official figures.
Home Instead Senior Care received a total of €40.1 million between 2011 and 2014, rising from a payment total of €6 million in 2011 to €12.9 million last year.
The company is a franchise operation that is owned by Edward Murphy, David Healy and Micheal Kearney.
