Health can expect a €4 billion shot in arm

The health service is set for a €4 billion windfall by 2020 based on current economic projections, the head of the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) has said.

IPHA chief executive Oliver O’Connor said the EU Commission study of trends in long-term public finances in Ireland showed it expected health to be 7 per cent of GDP in 2020.
