GPs to urge waiting patients to seek free treatment abroad

The NAGP is looking at providing a simple patient information leaflet that would explain the CBD to patients in simple terms

The National Association of General Practitioners (NAGP), which has 2,000 members, plans to launch a campaign encouraging patients to consider getting care overseas.

The NAGP council made the decision at a meeting yesterday. The council agreed to highlight the opportunities under the Cross-Border Healthcare Directive, which it believes “puts patients first”.
