GPs threaten health minister with legal action
The Minister for Health is breaching EU state aid rules by refusing to negotiate with one of the two GP representative bodies, the National Association of General Practitioners (NAGP) has alleged.
In a letter to minister Leo Varadkar, the law firm William Fry, which is representing the NAGP, warned the decision to solely deal with a rival union was “likely to be found illegal by the European Commission and/or Irish courts”.
