Government’s commitment to healthcare reform plan unclear

The government will miss the first deadlines set in the Future of Healthcare Sláintecare Report.

The report, which outlined a vision for the health service, recommended that a programme implementation office be set up “under the auspices of the Taoiseach by July 2017”. It also recommended that by this time a senior level lead executive would be recruited to run the office.
