Government won’t cut Portlaoise hospital services

Services will not be withdrawn from Portlaoise Hospital in the lifetime of this government, despite ongoing safety concerns.

A recent report by the health regulator Hiqa last week found that “significant risks remain” at the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise and that its future is “uncertain”.
