The future of a €50 million cutting-edge proton beam cancer treatment centre backed by under-fire hedge fund boss Neil Woodford has been thrown into doubt, The Sunday Business Post can reveal.
Woodford is partnering with Jersey-based Irish developer David Kennedy to build the cancer centre on the site of the former Magee barracks in the middle of Kildare town, along with a Lidl supermarket and 300 houses.
